Personal Experience

Exercising has always been a big part of my life.  I have always enjoyed being physically active and i thought since I enjoyed it so much that I should teach it to other for the rest of my life.  An experience that sticks out to me while doing physical activity in my life was the summer before my senior year in high school.
The upcoming football season was coming up and it was going to be my senior year.  I had already started of defense the past 2 years and this year I was going to playing quarterback as well.  So to prepare my self for the season I dedicated myself to running every day we had workouts in the summer.  We had workouts ever Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the morning and the evening.  I didn't have a summer job so I had dedicated my summer to my last season and was going to go to every workout.  So coincidently that meant a lot of running.  I knew with running every day to and from school would get my conditioning to where it needed to be.
Through out the year I played both ways and on every special team except one.  I was on the field for almost every minute of the game.  I felt I could do it and I did.  My dedication of summer running and working out two times a day for three days a week really payed off and helped me be on the field as much as I wanted to be.
Once our season was over I had no regrets with my year because I was out there as much as I could be and we had a successful year.  I believed it all stemmed from being physically active.

2nd post

Physical activity is an important component to everyones life.  Making the right decisions to participate in physical activity is one of the main components to getting started.  New studies have been shown that  you can do physical activity one minute at a time instead of doing it 10 minutes in a row.

Physical activity is always in the news with the obesity rate being so high.  Scientist are always looking for the new edge in making people want to exercise.  At the end of the day its all decision making and getting out and making yourself better.  An article that I read might help you get your daily physical activity in.  I have posted the link below.

HBO

The Healthy Behavior Outcome (HBO) I chose was the Physical Activity Module and the HBO 5.  HBO 5 is Follow a physical activity plan for healthy growth and development.  The National Standard I chose to go along with my HBO was standard 5 which states- Students will demonstrate the ability to use decision-making skills to enhance health.  I think the HBO 5 and standard 5 go hand and hand.  Making good decisions to do physical activity will lead them to live healthy lives.  This is important to teach kids and focus on because of the rising obesity rate in America.  People do not make wise decisions about exercising.  I would say that a majority of adults can squeeze a 30 minute period to work out into 3 days of their week.
